Scarlet and Purple – 151 is a unique expansion in which artists depict a Pokémon and its Evolution story across multiple cards. This technique is common for “rare illustration” cards, but extends in this expansion to the entire set of cards numbered from 1 to 151. Illustrator Naoyo Kimura presents the Evolution of Pikachu to Raichu by making the two Pokémon walk in different directions at different times of the day. In the same spirit, the artist Shinya Komatsu illustrates Osselait contemplating his bone in the middle of a field of stones and which evolves into a destructive Ossatueur, once again full of energy.
